FERRYMEAD PUMP TRACK LAUNCH party
Saturday 31st January 2pm - 4pm
the heathcote valley mountain bike jump park (opposite Ferrymead Heritage Park)
It's launch time! A super exciting project to build a new asphalt pump track at Ferrymead Park is underway. This pump track will be a fun, inclusive and enduring recreational space for all ages and abilities and will be situated by the football / athletics clubrooms.
Pump tracks are designed to be enjoyed by bikes, scooters, skateboards and skates, with no pedalling or pushing required.
Well‑designed pump tracks allow beginners to roll features comfortably, while experienced riders can jump and generate speed — making them an ideal outdoor playground for everyone from first‑time riders to elite athletes.
We will be launching this project with an afternoon of fun at the Heathcote Valley Mountain Bike Jump Park (opposite Ferrymead Heritage Park) on Saturday 31st January from 2pm.
The launch event will be a family‑friendly afternoon, featuring:
  • A sausage sizzle and refreshments
  • Demonstrations from experienced mountain bike riders
  • Information on the pump track design and project journey
  • Opportunities to support the project through fundraising and donations
Funds raised on the day will support the next stages of the project.
The site has already been secured, concept and landscape designs completed, and a significant portion of the required funding has been raised. Community support is now crucial to help bridge the remaining gap and turn the vision into a lasting asset.
We look forward to seeing you there!
