Is the live chat link in your header created as a WordPress menu item? If so it probably won't provide you with a field where you can add the necessary onclick code. What you can do is add a class to your menu item and then use Javascript/jQuery to add our desired onclick event to your menu link. For example:

Chat links for items are no longer clickable for me, edit Everytime you go into a load screen it moves the chat scroll bar left, after you go into 1 load screen you can not click on links or names in the chat until you reload the game., Seems to be fixed
My friends and I are also having problems with the chat. Other than not being able to click links the scroll bar has also disappeared. Trading with others has become a bit difficult since I can't click the name to talk to them.
While that does (annoyingly) work for links, I (and many others) still cannot click on the name to chat with them, nor does allow anything without a link to show up. So while you can see what the link is for, you cannot easily contact the person about the item in post.
