Gentlemen--Thanks for your work last night. The last rehearsal before a concert can be tedious and I appreciate your patience. I know that you all felt a bit unsettled with the acoustics in the room. Hopefully we got used to the difference between the room and the one we practice in. I am going to tweek the standing arrangement a bit to see if we can't get you all a bit more comfortable in hearing your part and the ensemble.
I did decide to pull the Secret of Christmas from the show. It has some key changes and sections that challenge us. If we had another week or two I'd feel better about our ability to pull that one off. I am also just a bit concerned about length of the program anyway--so we'll put that one on the docket for next year!
As a result of that, I've attached the updated script with some minor changes. I've also attached the program that will be distributed to our attendees.
For Sunday--please be there at 1:30 if you can. White shirt (long or short sleeved), black trousers, black shoes, socks.
Until Sunday--spend a little time if you can with the learning tracks. We highlighted a few trouble spots last night--let's try to get those solidfied. The more familiar you can be with the music, the more artistic we can make our performance.
It's going to be a great show and I appreciate the time I get to spend with all of you!
