Quick Review of Important Items from last nights HOLH Practice

Good Morning Gentlemen!

I’d like to review some items from last nights HOLH “post practice, coffee meeting”!

1.  I was reminded by a Senior HOLH member after our meeting last night, that we have not, historically, held a practice on Memorial Day weekend.  Since May 25th is, indeed, Memorial Day; please do not anticipate a practice on that Monday night.  We will confirm this at next weeks, May 18th Board meeting; with a follow up discussion at our “post practice coffee get together”.

2.  Mike Boen, our newly elected Chorus Manager, has prepared Anticipated Participation (aka Sign Up sheets) for our upcoming Choral events.  Please review these at next weeks, May 18th practice, to indicate your potential participation!  And by the way, when you see them displayed “in total”; you realize how active our group is, and/or, can be!

3.  Please give serious consideration to attendance at The 2nd Annual Land O’ Lakes District Barbershop Spring Sing  at Valley City State University, Valley City, ND; on Saturday, May 30th.  That’s a long, fancy name to a whole lot of fun education.  It’s a busy time of year, but this is one of those events that will improve the overall quality of our group’s presentation that Director Brent has referred to in the past.  Not to fail to mention; it’s a whole lot of fun!  Trust me, you’ll be glad that you attended.

4.  Finally, for those who weren’t there, we had two guests (potential members) join us last night at our practice; Glenn Moerke and Nathan Larson.  Please join me in sincerely making these gentleman feel welcome.  And as Director Brent pointed out at last night’s meeting; now is a great time for inviting potential new members to join our “prestigious” group!!!!
