As I lay in bed this morning at the first instant of consciousness, I was overwhelmed with the yesterday’s “special happening”!  Why have I been so Blessed as to have been introduced to, and to have become a part of, this “crazy” fun group of plain, ordinary guys, known as Heart O’ Lakes Harmony; and the fun experience of Barbershop singing itself?!?  And do these guys realize the privilege and opportunity afforded them to be under the tutelage of such a great instructor.

It’s not my intent to sound like some old Barbershop veteran with a vast knowledge or experience thereof; but I’ve lived enough to know “good” when I see it!  In that regard, and claiming the propriety of being ‘this prestigious group’s President, I want to thank Brent for all of the hard work, time and effort that he put into creating The 2nd Annual Land O’ Lakes District West Region Spring Sing!  And for you guys that had to miss it; well, you missed a truly enjoyable learning event!

For me, HOLH is one of those “Camelot” experiences in life, when you are about to leave this old planet to meet your Lord and Savior in our Heavenly home, you can look back on, and say, as author Hunter S. Thompson put it:  “Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming (in barbershop fashion) “‘WOW WHAT A RIDE’l!

Thanks for being a part of this Brent, to/and for, all of us “guys”!

100% agreement.  I have often said you learn more from those you associate with then from the presenters at training programs.

That was not the case Saturday!  We learned from all coaches, each specifically in the area of expertise.  It was a great day of learning, singing and just good fun.

We are #2 in chorus size and received many compliments, and very good coaching on how to improve!

If you were not able to attend this year, plan to attend next year.  Fargo had 2o members there this year.  WE CAN BEAT THAT!

Thanks to Brent for his work with us and for making this opportunity happen!
