Closing out the Hearful year

December is chilly in Minnesota, but that's the way things are
supposed to be, so once our blood has thickened, we keep things going
without too many complaints.

NORTHSIDE NEWS

NorthSide's lone 2008 release was Frigg's new "Economy Class," (NSD
6095), which the Christian Science Monitor called "great listening for
the drive home."

Next year expect a new trio record from Väsen. And they tour with Mike
Marshall & Darol Anger March 24-April 2. For tour dates, go to

ESD NEWS

On ESD, the new Halloween, Alaska CD, "Champagn Downtown" will be
released on 4/7/09 (along with a 2-LP vinyl version), and tour dates
to follow.

OMNIUM NEWS

Omnium's lone release for 2008 was Boiled In Lead's 25th anniversary
release SILVER. There have been a number of very positive reviews of
it -- have a listen to a "concentrate" of the album and read some
quotes at http://boiledinlead.com

Looking ahead, in 2009 Omnium plans new releases from Felonious Bosch,
Kari Tauring's Huldre Project, and tamburitza masters Sviraj.
