We're starting to see signs of Spring in the Northland, though we did
have some snow last week!

Halloween, Alaska "Champagne Downtown" (ESD)
The group delivers a disarming new set of songs that ply its moody
textures and brainy lyricism in the service of simmering indie anthems
and salient rock hooks. Mixed by the renowned audio guru Tchad Blake.

The Ukrainians "Diaspora" (Omnium)
A unique musical mixture of Eastern traditional with Western pop that
“blows your trousers off” (NME). Rock'n'Reel magazine says "The
Ukrainians have now reached something of a creative peak... their

Kari Tauring "Völva Songs" (Omnium)
This Minneapolis-based singer and songwriter explores music and
traditions from deep Nordic roots, accompanied by Drew Miller of
Boiled In Lead and Scott Nieman of Felonious Bosch. This six-song EP
is the prelude to a full-length release next year.
