Hi Beverage Drinkers,
Sorry about the lack of newsletters in awhile. But, a new study came
out today that I wanted to highlight. (I worked on this study while I
was in Boston.) Basically, it found that for overweight teens, if they
cut out caloric beverages (soda, juice, sports drinks, etc.) and
replaced them with non-caloric drinks (diets), they significantly
reduced their body weights.
A good summary:

The NPR story:

So the Healthy Tip is: Cut out as many sodas, sports drinks, and
sugary juices as possible and replace them with diet drinks... or even
better.... Good old H20!
Also watch out for 100% juices. They can have lots of calories... Try
eating a fruit instead!

Happy Drinking!
Lenny
