Civic Camp Calgary is running candidate election forums in all Calgary wards.  They are crowdsourcing questions to be asked at the forums.  A question has been posted asking candidates if they support a cosmetic pesticide ban i.e. the non-essential use of pesticides on private and public land in Calgary.  Please go to the following civic camp website and vote for the question to ensure that the question is included at the candidate election forums.

Calgary is the largest municipality in Canada without a pesticide ban.  Over 80% of Canadians are protected by municipal or provincial bans on the non-essential use of pesticides.  Manitoba is the latest province to enact a pesticide ban effective Dec. 2014 following on the heels of Quebec, Ontario, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island.
