Some of you may be interested in a conversation that the Climate Emergency forum had this past week with Joshua Elliott. 

He has an extraordinary educational and governmental background,  including responsibility for distributing hundreds of millions of dollars at DARPA. 

He’s now in charge of one of the more important and sophisticated efforts at using and leveraging philanthropic dollars to address potentially high impact interventions that can address the Climate emergency. 

One of their initiatives mirrors what was recently discussed on the list about inland seawater reflooding, a project to investigate the feasibility of creating vast inland seas in places like Egypt, Ethiopia and Australia to reduce sea level rise while providing co benefits. 

Interestingly their funding priorities do not include SRM as they believe that is adequately covered by other philanthropic groups.
