I was pleasantly surprised to see this below today – from the UK-based Global Warming Policy Foundation, traditionally a climate denier. They now seem to be accepting sea level rise.

With that the case, they could be a potential ally on SRM policy.

How should engineers plan for rising sea levels?

With more than 25 years experience in coastal and hydraulic engineering, Hessel Voortman has led feasibility studies and delivered complex projects around the world.

He will be speaking to the GWPF about the importance of sea level projections and observations and how they interact with engineering considerations, as he launches a new report on the subject for the GWPF.

Join us in London for an honest assessment of how engineers can mitigate the effects of sea level rise.
