Hi Bruce
Great session yesterday, I'm sorry I missed it.  However, it was really helpful for me to run through the recording as I now understand much more clearly the differences between what you've done and what I've done.
We've taken quite different approaches and produced two quite different models both structurally and in terms of the questions they address.
My World Temperature Forecaster (WTF) is a pure climate model.  It doesn't address any of the economic questions that took up so much of the conversation yesterday.  Moreover, WTF is based on FaIR, a climate model developed by climate scientists using established equations that convert GHG emissions into GSAT and SLR changes.   All I've done is messed about with back and front ends to generate something accessible to ordinary people without an academic background in climate science.  As you know, I've done this all in Excel to avoid it being just another black box - users can delve into the detail should they wish (even though it is quite sophisticated and to really understand it, you'd need to know a good deal of climate science).
Your model addresses a much wider range of issues and for many this will be much more valuable.  I just want people to understand what happens to GSAT in different emissions, CDR and SRM scenarios.  They can then decide what they want to do to either make the scenario happen or not as the case may be.  Unlike you, I'm not offering any guidance or insight into any of the implications of the choices they would have to confront for any pathway they choose.
It was very interesting listening to the questions those present asked.  There was a big focus on electrification and the rate of development of renewables, from a very US-centric perspective.  WTF will be of little value to with folk with those interests, so it's good that you're endeavouring to meet that need.
The session has given me several ideas about how to present WTF next month.  Thanks.
Hopefully, I'll make the session you're planning for next Monday.  One thing I'd value is some insight into how you derived the coefficients for the quadratic equations you referred to as the basis for your projections.
Regards
RobertC
