Interim Report on Action Items

Good people. How are you all? I am just emailing you all to touch base and report on my progress with assigned tasks.

 

• Setting up Pay pal account: The account has been set, but we are waiting for the web guy to put it on our website so people can go there and donate. In the interim, please send donations and make checks payable to Dr. Ruwa Chikosi

• Clarifying space and capacity for shipment: I have emailed and spoken to Mark and am meeting with him on Saturday before the health taskforce conference call to clarify the capacity of the current container and space available in future consignments and the frequency. Please note that the container is leaving on November 15, 2008.

 

• Outreach to UN and ZACH:  We have local UN people at headquarters and I have reached to them to see if they can get information on current needs assessments on the ground in Harare via their own channels.

 

Other Action Plans

 

Action Item: Shingi and everyone will review fundraising letters and use them to solicit gifts from friends.

 

Action Item: Charles will follow up with Dominic to provide more information and relevant websites.

 

Action Item: Dr. Farai Charasika, who is currently in Zimbabwe will visit the university and take photos once supplies arrive at the university.

 

Action Item: Farai Charasika is working on a template for assessing needs.

 

Action Item: Natsai and Ruwa are compiling information that might be useful in streamlining the goals of this project.

 

Action Item: All members to send mini bio with contact information to Dominic.
