Highlights of this SITREP:

• Eleven new cases of WPV1were confirmed since the last SitRep on 29 August
• So far, 163 WPV cases were confirmed in Somalia:

• Banadir (70), Lower Shabelle (32), Bay (16), Lower Juba (13), Middle Shabelle (17), Middle Juba (2), Hiran (5), Gedo (2), Sool (2 ), Galgadud(2), Bari (1), and Bakool (1)

• Sixteen new AFP cases were reported since the last SitRep on 29 August

• Result for 85 AFP cases from Somalia are still pending (12 cases from Banadir)
• Latest AFP case date of onset was 28 August from Sahil region
