X Icon Changer is a super useful app that you can use to change up your apps' icons with unique designs. If you want to give your smartphone a new and totally customized look, this is the app for you. With it, you can swap out one icon for another, including those you design yourself.
The advantage of using this app is that you can select any image from your gallery as an icon for a given app. Put a photo of your pet as the icon for your favorite game or make a special image to help you find a certain app in an instant. With X Icon Changer, you can let your imagination run wild.
Besides custom icons, you can also use this app to change the app's name to whatever you want. X Icon Changer even includes an icon exchange option where you can use one app's icon as another's with nothing more than a tap.
Every time you download a new app, X Icon Changer will notify you in case you want to change its icon immediately. Finally, you can choose the appropriate crop for whatever image you select in order to get the perfect look. After that, the icon will appear in most places, although the real one will still be shown in your smartphone's complete list of apps.
This script will change the attributes of all sub-directories then using the icon located within \Icon of sub-directories will create a relevant Desktop.ini that changes the folder icon and a few other settings (If there is an icon located within \Icon)
The script works in that it changes the attributes of relevant folders and creates Desktop.ini (Except if there is an exclamation mark!). Though it does not always change the icon of the folder. If I manually change Desktop.ini to "." and then back to Desktop.ini it instantly changes the folder icon. So is there a way of renaming Desktop.ini with attributes in tact?
Drive Icon Changer helps you customize your hard drive icon shown in My Computer and Windows Explorer to an icon of your personal choice. Like Turn Off LCD, I developed this little tool in C# using Visual Studio 2008 to change drive icons on the fly. It just takes a couple of clicks to customize the icon to your personal choice.
Of course you can change the icons manually too by creating an *.inf yourself and then adding those lines etc. but with this application, you can change the icon and then can restore back to the original all with just a couple of clicks.
UPDATE: Due to popular demand we received about the icons, we decided to bundled them all and have released them in a package.
You can Download Drive Icon Pack for Drive Icon Changer here.
Hey peeps, how's everyone doing? I'm searching for an app that I can use to change my home screen icons, but one that, after I've finished using, I can uninstall and the changed icons will remain. I've tried many but no one kept the icons upon uninstall. Does anyone knows an app I can use?
I would love to be able to change that flag to a different icon so it does not overlap our custom map. A simple crosshair or anything. Not one icon will work for everyone so being able to control that in your Survey 123 Connect and then push out to your survey would be fantastic.
To be clear, I am not against change in any form. I could be happy to welcome a new and improved set of icons for SketchUp Pro. But to receive my support, the essence of the change would need to be a clear step forward in functionality, a change that shows deep understanding and consideration for the needs of the 8 hour a day Professional user, with a design objective to optimize efficiency and clarity.
When you use an icon instance in a new component, you should redefine its color even if it already has the desired color. Just change it to something else and then give it the color you want it to have for that state.
As said by @william2 - thats the solution. His additional dialog about downloading and storing icons from the internet to a local storage has many advantages. For example, if the internet is down or unavailable, your icon will still display. Storing local can improve performance some depending on icon size and complexity. The hubitat hub has a rudimentary 'File Manager' found in the Settings page where you can upload icons and other files. I personally find it too rudimentary and use a my BlueIris security camera server to also host a web folder that reflects all my icons that I just drag and drop into that shared folder using my windows machines. Dashboard tiles are not the only place where icons (and images) can be useful - Tile Master 2 by the great @bptworld allows a place to use icons repeatedly for on / off switches and sooo much more!
As you dive deeper - @sburke781 is really affecting change with his recent game changer : [RELEASE] Status Avatar - #11 by sburke781
Is there a mod that allows to rename vessels from the tracking station (not only to change the name but also to change its icon - satellite, lander, station, etc.)? Or at least that adds a button "mark as debris" because I'm playing career mode and have lots of rescue contracts completed, so my tracking station vessel list became terribly long. I know that I can rename it before I get the kerbal out of cockpit, but not all parts allow me to do so (and sometimes I just forget it). And I know that there is a big red button to remove the vessel from tracking station, but looks like this button completely destroy the vessel (and I want that this part to have a chance of colliding with my other launches).
I installed the WD macintosh +turbo drivers v1.3.7, the latest to update my book firewire HD and after rebooting, the disk icon on the desktop changed and I do not desire the new look, I like to have the original disk icon. Whatever external HD I attach also has this new look. How can I return to the original plain or generic icon?

I would like to change an icon symbolizing change with something more appropriate. Currently the icon is a star. After giving it some thought I realized that I didn't have a good concept of what symbolizes change (differences, not coinage).
I use Outlook (2003) a lot and like to have both my Mail and My Calendar open at the same time. I would like to change the Calendar icon that appears in my task bar when both are open, to something more easily recognized. Is this possible?
What I am trying to do is keep the default Outlook icon for the first instance of the program I open, but change the icons for each additional window I open at the same time. For example, I have Outlook mail open. Sometimes I want to have the Calendar open at the same time. I would like to be able to change the Icon for the 2nd instance.
I have replaced a handful of program icons using Resource Hacker (and XN Resource Editor for more recent 64-bit programs). Outlook is a more complex program than the ones that I have successfully done this with, but you can try and see if it works for you.
Once you have found the icon that you need to replace within OUTLOOK.EXE, try to replace it with a similar icon, with the same different sizes and types of bitmaps as the original. The easiest way to do this would be to edit the original in an icon editor like IcoFX or IconWorkshop.
As best I can tell, the Windows 10 implementation uses the microscope icon for both ImageJ1 and Fiji. Is it possible to change the icon on the Windows 10 menu bar to the Fiji icon? I created a suitable icon for Windows but have not been able to apply the change. Given that ImageJ1 and Fiji are different programs, could we have icons for each? I have been unable to change the icon on Windows. I should note that on my Macbook, the icon for Fiji is implemented.
no need to make things more complicated than they are. My suggestion involves uploading two files: an ico file and an lnk file to the Java8 update site. This change is fully backwards compatible and will not change anything on any computer, but it allows Windows users to have the Fiji icon in the task bar, just like the Mac users have it.
The "problem" I am facing is that I uninstalled the Ubuntu 14.04's default LibreOffice and installed OpenOffice , but the .doc, .xls, .odt, .ods .... files even though they open by default with OpenOffice, their icon is still the original LibreOffice icon. I was searching every where to find the LibreOffice Icons but could not find it in /usr/share/icons in any subfolders, I am running out of ideas.
