Things have quieted down with the passage of the Summer Solstice.
Since the Information blocking rule came into effect April 5 (no penalties until Oct 2022), I believe some folks will start to see the importance of strong, resilient, privacy enhancing, federated online identities, with mobile devices as the "vehicle"_ ( no
pun intended) and the state DMV issued IDs as part of the solution needing more work.
I spoke with Jim Kragh yesterday and we agreed to call off the meeting this coming Thursday.
In any case, the next call will be July 15 (First and Third Thursday of the month). Hopefully by then our Kantara colleagues living in the Pacific Northwest (I'm thinking of you Tom Jones) will be out from under their "Heat Dome". I emailed one of my AMA
co-Delegates today, who is there also and currently living in her basement (...Never thought she would need A/C).
Finally, we welcome Kay Chopard as our recently appointed Kantara Executive Director. Colin is "Semi Retired" so I am certain he will help Kay get up to speed quickly. Also, some of you may remember Kay from our IDESG days when she helped facilitate those
many meetings and the effort to launch the NSTIC program.
