Does anyone know where I can find information about the 19 (?) or so Technical Working Groups in Cambodia?

Hi Charlotte,

For the Ministry of Health there are topic specific national TWGs for nutrition, MCH, TB, HIV/AIDS, and others. There is also a pro-TWG at national level for all health topics once or twice a year in which provincial health department (PHD) directors make presentations. This national pro-TWG is coordinated through the MoH office of International Relations Department where Dr. Eng Hout is director. The other national TWGs are organized by the different departments of MoH. Also at provincial level there is a monthly or bi-monthly Pro-TWG which includes all health topics and all NGOs working in health are invited to participate. The PHD for each province is responsible for organizing these meetings.

Dear Molly and Charlotte,

I do not have that paper on all TWGs but I remember there was a presentation on those TWGs by MEDICAM quite a long time ago.

19 TWGs are in the different or integrated or multiple sectors(it is not only health sector) in Cambodia such as:

1. TWG on Agriculture and Water (TWG-AW) (MAFF); Technical Working Group on Forestry Reform (TWG-FR) (MoFF)

2. TWG for Rural Water Supply, Sanitation and Hygiene.(MoRD)

3. Working Group on Social Protection and Food Security and Nutrition [TWG-SP&FSN] (CARD)

4. TWG for Health(MoH-many sub-TWG such CD communicable diseases(HIV/AIDS, Malaria, TB and others), NCD, RMNHC, HSS, nutrition, newborn,.. )

5. National Sub-committee for Food Fortification (MoP)

6. ................... etc.
