Pain receptors are nerve endings, triggered by chemical, thermal or mechanical signals. In bone cancer, pain can be caused by blocked blood vessels, bone fracture, infection, inflammation, tumour, emotional stress, and side-effects from treatments such as radiation therapy and chemotherapy.
