Editorial

Dear colleagues,

Two very timely case studies have just been published by the German Health Practice Collection:

The first presents a shining example of a Nigerian-German cooperation on the development (and a Nigerian-Ghanaian-German European cooperation on the deployment) of something that is now high on most governments' political agendas: A digital tool for infectious disease surveillance and outbreak management.

One of the many lessons the current pandemic teaches us is the relevance of Universal Health Coverage (UHC). The second case study reveals surprising insights into the factors that rendered German support to UHC reforms in India and Indonesia a success.

Enjoy the reading, stay healthy and keep your optimism!
