Dear colleagues,

A bunch of highly interesting studies and articles were released over the past two weeks:

Cost-effectiveness rankings of health interventions are useful inputs for national healthcare planning and budgeting. This paper used studies from 2000 onwards to rank 93 health interventions for low- and middle-income countries by cost-effectiveness.

The 2017 World Population Data Sheet is an essential tool for anyone interested in population dynamics and policies. This year’s edition provides the latest data on 17 key population, health, and environment indicators for more than 200 countries and has a special focus on the world’s youth.

Development aid alone will not reduce migration, argues this paper. From a policy standpoint, there needs to be greater acknowledgement that migration cannot be “extracted” from development and managed separately.
