BMZ’s population dynamics handbook is now available as online portal, portraying the challenges the issue presents and ways to tackle them - sector by sector.

The largest ever pandemic preparedness simulation exercise in African history was conducted in the Kenyan-Tanzanian border region. The German-supported mobile laboratories played an important role and the German PanPrep project supported EAC in preparing and coordinating the endeavour.

In Liberia, a multi-step process towards gender-responsiveness was developed with and for health worker training institutions and its guiding document and toolbox are now available on our portal. And there is more below…

Assessing outbreak response capacities in the EAC region

After months of planning, almost 300 participants and observers took part in an ambitious cross-border Field Simulation Exercise on the Kenyan-Tanzanian border between 11th and 14th June 2019.  This exercise, convened by the East African Community (EAC) Secretariat , was designed to test capacities for disease outbreak prevention and responses at a time when the region is on high alert against Ebola.
