Red Flag Warning: Preparing for Wildfire

This could be the most important virtual event you attend all year!

Join us on Wednesday, July 21, from 12 noon to 1:00 pm to learn what a red flag warning is and how to respond to it, as well as how to prepare your home or business for wildfire.

·     A Portland-based Incident Meteorologist from the National Weather Service will discuss red flag warnings – what they are, why they happen, and what you should do when there is one.

·     Dave Busby, City of Corvallis Fire Emergency Planning Manager, will discuss wildfire preparedness, including how you can prepare your home or business before wildfire strikes.

Register at bit.ly/3xujL7q. Approximately 24 hours after the event, a recording of the event will be emailed to all who have registered.

The Corvallis-Benton County Public Library is the primary sponsor of this event. Co-sponsors include the Corvallis Sustainability Coalition, Greenbelt Land Trust, and OSU Extension Service Fire Program.
