Hi folks- please see the opportunity below for Corvallis community members to participate in an OSU research project!

---

Community members are invited to join a study that will help OSU researcher Manuel Garcia-Jaramillo and his team learn more about tap water quality across the state of Oregon. They are particularly interested in learning about potential contaminants that may be caused during the water treatment processes, or from agricultural, industrial, or pharmaceutical practices.

What's in it for community members?

  • For people who care about the quality of drinking water in Oregon or environmental health research, this is an opportunity for them to represent their community.
  • As part of signing up, participants can request to receive study results.
  • All enrolled participants receive a $25 gift card.

The ASK of Participants:

  • Be 18 years or older and live in Oregon.
  • Register for the study online.
  • Collect and log 3 water samples from your household faucet over one day.
  • Return samples in the box provided via a pre-paid label.
  • Less than two hours of your time.
