hi due,
congratulations on this new endeavor. i'm so glad you are following your joy!
i've reviewed the website as you suggested and can tell you've done a lot of thoughtful work on it. there's great information and enticing aspects, and i like that it has the feel of both india and u.s. input.
i'll answer each of your questions in the body of your email below. please know that i answer honestly so as to provide constructive feedback; nothing i say is a complaint!
let me know if i can be of further help and much love to you dear spirit!
I hope all is well and that you're having a great summer. How is your retreat going?
Can you do me a favor? I have been developing a social enterprise with friends in India to provide affordable distance pranic healing to anyone worldwide. I would like to invite you to look at the site and share your reactions and feedback.

It would be great to get your answers to the following questions.
1) does the website generate a positive impression overall? How is the design? How is the navigation? (Please note the website is still being coded and there are a few bugs and typos that still need to fixed). Do you find the site credible?
the first impact is the photo and quote that comes up and that is nice and positive. the next screen, however, goes right to the money - purchase a package for $100 - and this feels too soon for a reader who is not sold on the service or concept yet. the other photos and quotes are in line with the inspiring first photo; i would recommend you have nothing about money in the revolving main frames.
overall, the design and navigation good, though i have a few observations:
1) the white background is really stark and not suggestive of the calm practice of pranic healing. if you have an option for something soft or "spiritual" in tone that might be better.
2) the "buttons" on the left side of the screens after you click on a top tab do not appear to be buttons; i actually didn't realize they were clickable lines for a while. if there's a way to frame or highlight/shadow these it might help.
3) i really like your story and vision and recommend you put that as a first or second tab. people - at least americans - like to know who is doing the work and why, and this is often a bigger sell than the service itself. given the chance to know you personally, people may be more likely to trust your service. (it might also be good to include your photos if you are comfortable, given that you are doing the work remotely. just a thought.) culturally this whole idea may not be the same in india, so consider all i've said in the greater context and see if it makes sense.
2) what is your impression of pranic healing after browsing through the website? does the presentation and explanation of pranic healing make you interested in exploring pranic healing? why or why not?
the information is great. it's thorough, layered and uses both text and visuals well. again, i think it would be helpful to highlight, frame or shade the side links, as i didn't see them my first pass through and therefore didn't get all that great information for a bit.
3) what key concerns do you have regarding the website and using the services? What are the barriers that would prevent you from trying it?
there are 9 steps listed for the process to receive the service and this feels a little cumbersome. actually, the process is really only 4 or 5 reasonable steps and the others are just side notes. it might be helpful to break this out better and put the actual steps numerically, then note at the bottom things like you'll respond in 24-48 hours, if they still aren't sure about the service they can get a free consultation, and so on. anything you can do to help the reader feel less intimidated would be good.
4) Is there any information you would recommend be added to the site?
forgive me if i overlooked it, but does it say anywhere exactly how you administer the treatment or about how long an individual treatment takes? is there a picture of a practitioner performing a treatment that you could put on the main page of "why pranic healing?" anything to help a new reader get the gist of the service might be helpful.
5) Would you recommend any specific changes be made (if not already mentioned above)?
i can't think of anything at this point. i want to add, though, that i really like that you have a section for other pranic healers. that may turn out to be something you want to expand in the future. i would imagine you could be a great resource of support for others where they may not be able to get much help remotely in various countries.
Appreciate your feedback. Please let me know if you prefer to share your comments by skype or telephone.
Thanks again, Due
