Zgemma H2s Flash

MyZgemma H9s not booting with any image using usb 2.0 or 3.0, just white logo on it, so any ideas what can i do? I try to come back from open pli to open atv, Receiver can't read USB flah..I used various models of USB flashes..

Have had issues myself with flashing some of the zgemma range, I format usb with either hp usb disk storage format tool or bootice as either tool will help (zgemmas can be temperamental with usbs). Unzip your h9s zip file and copy the folder called h9 and the 2 other files called bootargs and fastboot to your newly formatted stick and make sure zgemma is powered off before inserting stick in one of the rear ports. Hold in reset button on zgemma rear and keep it held in while you power on and once the logo on front starts to start to flash red/white you can release the reset and let it do it's thing. Have written the entire procedure here in case anybody else needs it, but assume you know majority of this already. The proper format tools and a small capacity usb stick make the difference between success and failure more often than you would think. Both the tools I mentioned at start are free

Therefore, I would advise you to get a cheap 4-32GB GB large mSD (microSD) card to move E2 to it, thus enlarging the limited flash/NAND and try PurE2, which at the moment gives the most of all the E2s...

Are you sure the USB device is the right format? Problems arise mainly with NTFS. If you want to boot from a USB stick (flash firmware), it is recommended USB with a capacity of only 4-8 GB and only with FAT32 filesystem. Even if you already have FAT32, try reformatting again, for example using the SD-Formatter tool.

I have downloaded the latest OPENATV 6,4 image, unzipped it and put the zgemma folder onto a freshly formatted 8Gb USB stick. I switched off the box via white button on rear. I inserted the USB stick into usb socket (tried all 3), dropped the front panel and kept the little silver button at top left pressed and pushed the white button on rear. It starts with BOOT, then FLASH appears and very rapidly disappears before I can release the silver button and BOOT shows again. The word FLASH shows for such a short time (fraction of a second). I tried several times to flash the box without success. Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

I'm having the same problem on my H7c, open pli is on it at the moment, i can't get any image on it with any usb i try, the same as cageyone, the word flash only appears in a flash and then gone, any ideas what to do as i'm not keen on open pli.

Thanks for the flashing info, i have flashed this box many times and done all you describe above, but unfortunately it still won't work, never had the problem with other boxes i've had, open pli is growing on me.

Dear maxjam . I Know that button ( the only one in the front panel at the top left corner next to the slot). Tried with 3 different USB drives low level formatted with two programms ( HP USB disk storage format tool V2.1.8 and Hdd low level format tool 4.40) with no luck. Unfortunately I could not understand "force" "noforce" and where to look for that state. I finally managed to flash the receiver by putting with FTP three files in /var/volatile/tmp folder of Zgemma.

Hello @ibbnog...after doing another recent upgrade a further image update had been widely reported as causing problems for other users so I decided to use a recovery emmc image for a clean flash then image version 6.3 followed by image version 6.5 from 23/03/21...I haven't done any further upgrades as everything is running smoothly at the moment...@jenseneverest has stated he hasn't done an upgrade since I believe ?. last year...regards

Good evening, I'm trying to update the image of the zgemma11 decoder which has Openatv 6.4 to an updated version. I decompressed the files onto a USB and via reset-off I'm trying to flash according to the procedure but the decoder doesn't want to know about reading it, it doesn't You see, it's a Kingston, I tried two other USBs, nothing... I'm in trouble, I think I've made some disaster. Now when you turn it on it always stays red and a hisilicon screen starts up, what do you mean? I selected reboot and android here is the disaster... Please, can someone really follow me? or do I have to throw this thing directly in the garbage... thanks

Now everything is in a much better place.

All plugins are now either updated to python 3 now or in the process of being updated

People who keep using older images are just making plugins bulkier. As at the moment there is lots of fallback legacy python 2.7 code in them.

guarda tenendo spento il decodere e tenendo il telecomenado puntato sul tasto menu si avvia la schermata con le varie opzioni locali immagine o fliash immagine online, risprisitno immagine, multiboot, vado su local-immagine e poi punta la usb con il file rar che non lo apre con "immagine invalid" edo ecco quanto, sto seguendo la procedura di aggiornamento specifica del zgemma 11s...non capisco perch non la legge, devo provare tutte le usb ma credo che il rislutato nn cambia.

grazie kIDDAC ho installato l'immagine l'ultima per zgemma11s e sto configurdo il tuner con i canali l'interfaccia sembra migliorata e l'installazione di oscam dentro plugin come la vecchia immagine o devo dare un comando comunque devo controllare...

Buongiorno KiddaC seguendo le tue istruzioni l'immagine partita e grazie la 7.3 openatv adesso il problema la connessione al wifi dietro la scatola ho un adattatore wif sull'entrata dell'usb, con l'immagine precedente avevo configurato la rete correttamente, mentre adesso come si impostato i vari settaggi mi d una serie di errori di sistema o l'adattatore che mi ha abbandonato o non capisco perch o l'immagine, invio le foto in allegato qualcuno di voi che esperto saprebbe illuminarli? Grazie sempre

ciao Kiddac ho installato tutto immagine openatv 7.3 e scaricati i vari plugin impostato la rete non era un problema di dns era da impostare la password, ogni tanto va in crash ma raramente, ho installato la softcam oscam questa enigma2-plugin-softcams-oscamicam_11.718-emu-r798_all.ipk, credevo fosse anche cccam invece solo oscam icam, vorrei vedere solo i canali tv -sat tutto il pannello, ma senza carta fisica non si pu fare vero? Grazie sempre per l'interesse
