Looks like someone's sentiments are hurt.

If you disagree please Provide logical reason and justification. Just writing disagree does not suffice.

Anand, Honestly neither a CA nor a CS.
An individual can himself register. Ministry of Corporate Affairs Website is easy to use.

If Public Ltd. or Pvt. Ltd or LLP a CS is required for Compliance, MoAA, etc... one can't have a substitute for statutory requirements. CA can help prepare this but a CS is better qualified and competent. Just like Tax, Auditing Finance is done better by CA and not an accountant or CS.

One can file return without CA also. These days its easy.

However, am Not saying that CA are not required at all.

CA can do the above but a Job is always best done by a specialists.

Vicky Shah

Both are important in their own ways.

Restricting myself to a company. It is correctly mentioned earlier that CA is a must for tax / audit. A CS is mandatory only if the pvt ltd co is above a certain turnover. Hence for start-ups CS is not mandatorily required. However it is always advisable to take on board a CS from the start so that all legal compliances are in place without errors. This will help at the time of fund raising.

Also, for formation of a company either a CA or a CS will do it for you. No preference one over the other for this.

No offence meant to anyone.

Adding on to Mr. Shah,

A CA, CS, Lawyer or yourself can register the company.

One needs a class2 digital certificate to upload documents in MCA.gov.in

Opening a PVt. Ltd. Company is easy, maintaining it is difficult,
Its therefore always advisable to start with a partnership firm/ sole proprietorship (no compulsory registration is required for this)
allow your company to grow and later convert it to a Pvt. Ltd. company.

focus on your product  now and good luck with your venture.

feel free to contact me incase you need any more clarifications

regards
