Dear students,
Please remember our FTU-CSU Celebration Event at 11:30 on Friday 17 May, at the Hilton Hotel!
We will have good food and a good program. We will award the program certificates to the graduating V2 students, and we also will recognize the V1 students who are finishing their Master’s degrees! Even though we won’t have President Chau or another FTU administrator, we will have some visiting FTU lectures there.
To help prepare for and contribute to the celebration, I want to ask you students to do the following:
· Be on the lookout for the official email invitation, and when you get it, please RSVP telling if you are coming (you should!) and if you are bringing a friend. We will need to know the numbers in order to plan the seats and the food.
· Please let me know if there are going to be any V1 students around whom we don’t expect, so we can know their email address for the invitation.
· Please organize yourselves to choose 2 students (1 female, 1 male) to represent the V1 class and give a short speech (1 to 3 minutes). And please let me know your selections by May 3!
· Please consider what student contributions their might be to the program, such as singing or dancing or something else. A video presentation would be fun, but I need to know well in advance in order to arrange a projector. Please discuss any ideas you have, so we can make decisions about the program by May 10.
· Please give any other ideas about how to make this a great celebration!
Best regards.
Bob
