Is this project still alive? Is there active development?
I am a previous confluence user/contributor, and occasional hdcaml
user with a strong interest in the .net platform. I'm currently
toying with f# as a modeling/verification platform, and would love to
contribute any additions I may make in the process back to hdfs, if
there is interest.

Yep - the projects still very much going. You will find a number of changes to the trunk version of HDFS since the 0.2 release. Not too much in the way of bug fixes I'm glad to say, and I have been using HDFS in anger for some commercial work so I am pretty confident it's working nicely. I'm toying with a new release for the 1.9.2 version of F# which will hopefully add a great new syntactic enhancement.
I would love to hear any suggestions you have for the library and would gladly accept any contributions to it.
