I am writing this email to inquire about the application of the Drift Diffusion Model (DDM). In my studies, I have learned that DDM is suitable for tasks with two options. However, if a task presents four options that can be categorized into two groups, can the DDM model still be used to analyze the data effectively? For instance, the Iowa Gambling Task (IGT) presents such a scenario where options AB represent high-risk and options CD represent low-risk choices. I appreciate your response on this matter.
Thank you.
