To whomever may be interested:

Continua ( www.continuaalliance.org ) is an industry trade association that is seeking to create an open health ecosystem that supports the use of remote monitoring equipment in home/mobile environments. The alliance is made up of over 250 companies and is in the process of looking at technology that will enable data to be moved from an aggregation point in a home/mobile/consumer setting into the cloud/backend/professional setting. The first generation of this protocol is based on HL7 2.6 data encapsulated and communicated in accordance with IHE PCD-01 transactions using a SOAP/WS-I framework.

Current discussions have entertained moving toward a lighter weight RESTful solution as an alternative to the SOAP based approach. We seek input from organizations that have an interest in providing technology that might address our requirements.

On March 6th in Austin Texas the Continua Alliance will be holding a F2F meeting and entertaining technology presentations.

I would like to encourage anyone who has an interest in hData, or for that matter other approaches that you might be aware of could meet our requirements, to contact me. My contact information is provided below.
