Hello Jeff –

Sorry for the late reply – I was out of the office.

Can you see if the build script ran the XJC task successfully (earlier in the ant log)? The compiler cannot find the auto-generated classes.

Best,

Gerald Beuchelt

Greetings.  I tried to pull the hData-java-parser code, however I think the repository is not up to date.   I received hData-java-parser/build/gen-src/org/projecthdata/hdata/schemas/_2009/_06 files however the build process is asking for _11 files.  E.g.,

[jchoyt@rusalka nbproject]$ ant -f build-impl.xml
Buildfile: build-impl.xml

<snip>

-do-compile:
    [javac] Compiling 25 source files to /home/jchoyt/devel/hData/hData-java-parser/build/classes
    [javac] /home/jchoyt/devel/hData/hData-java-parser/src/org/projecthdata/hdata/hrf/SectionDocument.java:24: package org.projecthdata.hdata.schemas._2009._11.metadata does not exist
    [javac] import org.projecthdata.hdata.schemas._2009._11.metadata.DocumentMetaData;

I'm kinda stuck.  Can you let me know if the repository must be fixed, or if I'm doing something wrong?

Thanks,

Jeff

Today we are releasing the first public version of the hData specification for the record format and the packaging and network transport (REST API). They are available here:

We will be making some changes to the documents in the next few days to add a simple meta data model and streamline certain elements. Once this is complete, we are planning on moving the specification to a wiki and open up the process of editing. Until this is done, we would like to ask you sending your comments to hdata-...@googlegroups.com.

At this time we are also exploring how the hData specifications can be licensed in an open source friendly way. Possible options include an OASIS style non-assertion covenant – please contact us if you have suggestions.
