If your nursing license is due to expire on 5/31/20, you should have already received your renewal paperwork in the mail from the NJ Board of Nursing. PLEASE NOTE: We have contacted the Board of Nursing and they are not offering any extensions to the renewal process at this time

If your license does not expire this year, please disregard this message.

*If you still have not received your letter to renew your license, you can call the Board of Nursing (973-504-6430) and they will provide you with your renewal code.*

As some of you may know from previous years, this process can take quite some time and there are thousands of other nurses trying to renew their license as well. Be aware that it may take 10 – 15 business days to receive your new license.

Here are a few helpful tools to assist you in renewing your license:

1.    Video Tutorial: An online guide of how to renew your nursing license.

2.    CE Requirements: All RNs and LPNs need to complete 30 CEs prior to renewing their licenses. If you still need to complete your CE Requirements, there are two websites listed below with courses available:

*IMPORTANT: Please do not wait until the last minute! If we cannot verify that your license was renewed by 5/31/20, you will not be able to work.

**Also, a late fee of $50.00 will be added to your renewal fee by the Board of Nursing if you do not renew before 5/31/20. You will not be able to renew your license online after 6/30/20 and you must contact the BON to reinstate your license beyond that date.
