Welcome All Parents of Senior Class 2012 Health Careers High School (HCHS)
Meeting was held in the school cafeteria at 6:30 pm until 7:30 pm; there were 32 parents in attendance and Ms.Jordan (Vice Principal); there are 196 students
Discussion about the event: project graduation is the all night party after graduation May 30, 2012 sponsored by the parents of the students; the school supplies the transportation to and from the event
Discussion about the various committees required to ensure a successful event: 1. venue 2. fundraising 3. project runway (style show in the spring with silent auction) 4.Texas DOT (one parent and one student required to attend program given in spring) 5. sales of items (food, hoodies, etc) at school (ie. bus loop, concessions) 6. chaperons for event (need medical personnel) 7. treasurer/bank (cpa/accountant) 8. survey of students for preferences of activities 9. communication with parents and students (via email, snail mail, call outs from school, attending English classes - direct contact with students)
