Information about the panel:
Kavi Bhala, PhD. India. Research on the growing epidemic of road traffic
injuries in developing countries with the goal of proposing transportation policies
that are safe, sustainable and promote equity.
Kevin Jeremiah Akindele Thomas, Ph.D. Sierra Leone. Dr Thomas is
currently studying the demographic and health outcomes of migrant
populations in Africa and the relationship between child survival and
living standards, focusing on the differences between migrant and
non-migrant populations in Africa.
Adebola Adedimeji, M.Sc., Ph.D. Nigeria A Lecturer in Sociology at the
University of Ibadan in Nigeria, his research topic is: knowledge of
HIV/AIDS/STIs and condom use among slum adolescent inhabitants in Ibadan,
Nigeria
Fahimeh Ramezani, M.D. Iran. Dr Ramezani is currently Associate Professor
of Medicine at the National Medical Research Center, and Director of the
National Reproductive Health Committee in Iran. Her research topic is: a
multidisciplinary preventive/management program in HIV/AIDS in high risk
selected area of Iran.
David Evans. US/Kenya. David is a tutor in Currier House and a doctoral
student in Economics. He has conducted research on the spillover effects
of Africa’s orphan crisis as well as child school participation in Kenya.
Molly Simmons. Israel. Molly is a senior at Harvard who completed an
Anthropology thesis on post-traumatic stress disorder in Israel. She is
also studying for a Certificate in Health Policy.
