I write this to you with an invitation to become an associate/ life member of The FMS Forum New Delhi, by contributing a subscribtion fee of Rs 15,000/- for associate membership valid for five years or a one time subscription fee of Rs 50,000/ for life membership. In case of associate membership, if during the period of five years you wish to become a life member, you may become so by payment of an additional Rs 35,000/-.
I am sure during your years at Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), you imbibed useful management skills and techniques in addition to exponential expansion of knowledge in your subject areas of specialization. FMS is proud of your socio-economic achievements and views you as an example of unqualified success in life to inspire and be emulated by succeeding generations of FMS students.
FMS now needs you to contribute resources and knowledge for furtherance of cause of expanding management education and sharing of practical life management experiences in your working arena with management students, FMS faculty and FMS alumni, thereby strengthening the corporate governance structure in our country on its path of socio economic development. FMS Forum is distinct from existing FMS Alumni Association in that- FMS Alumni Association is focussed on bringing alumni together through social activities such as annual dinner , picnic and musical evening etc.
The FMS Forum is a non profit organisation set up with the following objectives.
1. To foster intellectual contacts between FMS and its alumni.
2. Provide active interface to alumni with FMS to support and sponsor research based projects and facilitate case development
3. To promote through intellectual exchange, the diffusion of knowledge in management thought and practice.
4. To support FMS on activities linked to the academic agenda.
5. To leverage alumni network to reinforce brand FMS.
The underlying sentiment is of ‘Gurudakshina’...giving back to our alma mater.
This will entail organizing seminars, panel discussions and interactive meetings on various subjects between leading corporate leaders, FMS faculty, FMS alumni and management gurus to facilitate
Advancement of management education and promote thought leadership. This would benefit all the stakeholders-faculty, students & the alumni.
Your participation and inputs towards meeting the objectives of The FMS Forum will be invaluable and most sought after.
You are requested to:
a) Make a cheque or draft of Rs15000/- or 50,000/- payable to THE FMS FORUM towards Associate membership/ Life membership along with completed membership application form mentioned bel. and courier same to The FMS Forum, B-6/25/1, Safdarjung Development Area New Delhi-110016, Kind attention Mr Ashwini Windlass Former CEO Max Hutchinson and of FMS 1978 batch.
b) Send me names, addresses email ids and mobile numbers of other FMS alumni known to you.
c) Enclosed find separately attached herewith the following for your perusal:
i) Some scanned pages from the Memorandum of Association and rules and regulations of the FMS forum.
ii) List of Permanent members of FMS Forum till date
iii) Copy of membership application form to be completed signed and sent back with cheque.
