The event will be conducted in three phases:

Phase 1: (only for HBTI students)
  1. This is a single person event.
  2. There will be a on-paper round and 20 code snippets will be given having multiple choices.
  3. 40 teams will qualify for the 1st round on the 3rd of March. 30 teams will enter the competition and rest 10 will be in waiting list and may get a chance on 3rd March depending upon the number of teams that arrive from other colleges
  4. OMR sheets will be provided for submitting the solutions.
  5. Answer sheets will be given just after the collection of OMR sheets for fair conduct.


Phase 2: ( For everyone )
Duration: 2 hours
  1. Outside college students will get a direct entry.
  2. 30 code snippets with multiple choice questions and 2 problem statements will be given.
  3. Students will need to solve atleast one program and top 20 teams will qualify for the final round
  4. For each correct answer +3 and a wrong answer will fetch -1 marks.
  5. For each program 10 marks will be awarded.
  6. No internet access will be provided.
  7. Systems will be provided with JDK 1.7 and Eclipse IDE installed on them.


Phase 3: (final round on 4th March)
Duration: 3 hours
  1. 8 problem statements will be given testing the basics of J2SE(Core Java).
  2. This is an open book round and each participant can bring as many books as he/she wishes to.
  3. System will be provided with JDK 1.7 and Eclipse IDE installed on them.
  4. Incase of a tie, the time of solution submission will be the criteria for tie breaker.
 

Event Rules


  1. This is a single member event and everyone should be registered with INCORD. Please visit the registration page if you have not completed the registration process yet.
  2. This event is sponsored by IBM and strictly JDK 1.7 and ECLIPSE IDE will be used.
  3. Use of unfair means will result in immediate disqualification form the event.
  4. Acceptance and rejection of submissions are governed by the rules and regulations set by the Organizing Committee of INCORD. In case of any conflicts, call of organizers/judges will be final
  5. Since every registered candidate has a unique INCORD ID it will be used as your identity during the entire event to avoid any partiality.
  6. All winners will get a certificate of merit.

 

Event Deadlines


Practice problems on JAVA will be uploaded on the website from 20th Feb - 29th Feb and intrested participants can try to solve them and mail the solutions to jvir...@incordhbti.org

Practice problems will also be uploaded on the Incord 2012 Facebook page.

The questions will also be uploaded on Facebook Active X page.

The prelims round for HBTI students will be held most probably on the 29th Feb. It's not yet confirmed.

There are no deadlines for outside teams and they can take part by getting themselves registered on the day of event.
