Event Format
This is an
On-Campus contest which puts forward a series of programs in C/C++ with
very trivial and subtle errors (bugs). The participant would have to
identify the bugs and debug the code to get the correct/appropriate
output for all valid test cases. This would essentially be a test of the
programming logic,conceptual and implementation skills of the
participants in C/C++
The event will be conducted on 3 phases:
Round 1: (only for HBTI students)Duration: 1 hour
- This is a team event.
- Each team comprises of 2 members and both should have and INCORD ID. Please visit the registration page if you do not have the INCORD ID yet.
- This will be a on-paper round consisting of 40-50 MCQ's.
- 30
teams will qualify for the Phase 2 to be held on 3rd of March, and some
teams will be put in waiting list depending upon the number of external
college registrations.
- Each question will carry 2 marks.
- There will not be any -ve marking, incase of a tie the * marked questions will be counted.
Phase 2: (For everyone)
Duration: 2 hours
- Outside college students will get a direct entry.
- 30 code snippets with multiple choice questions.
- 20 teams will qualify for the final round.
- For each correct answer +3 and a wrong answer will fetch -1 marks.
Phase 3: (finals on 4th March)
Duration: 2 hours
- 7 problem statements with their code will be provided.
- The participants need to analyze the code and correct it in a way such that least changes are made to the code.
- Incase
of a tie, the time of solution submission will be the criteria for tie
breaker, the decision of the co-ordinators will be final.
- Top 3 teams will be awarded.
Event Rules
- A team should consist of maximum 2 members.
- Undergraduate/Graduate students can participate in the competition.
- The programming language given will be C/C++.
- You will be provided with gcc compilers.
- In all rounds, questions have to be answered in the stipulated time.
- Any kind of unfair means will lead to disqualification.
- Any kind of mis-behavior with the volunteers will lead to disqualification.
- Internet will not be provided.
- Use of mobile phones or other electronic media will not be permitted.
Event Deadlines
You need to register yourself to take part in the event.
Teams
from HBTI will have a initial prelims round to shortlist the
participants that will be held probably in the last week of Feb.
Selected participants will be informed.
Outside college teams will get a direct entry in the event on 3rd March.
