HBS SGM meeting summary

Dear HBS members,
After a well-supported SGM last evening, there have been a few changes to update you on.
From the agenda, it was apparent that Members weren’t confident in some of the operational systems & personnel currently in place.
As a result:
The SGM ratified the committee positions of myself, Derek & Maree as a matter of business.
There are several Constitutional changes being addressed. These will be presented to the Members in draft form by the end of April. Derek & Mark are working through these.
There has been a change of Chairperson - Dean faced a vote of no confidence in his management style and is no longer on the committee. Derek is acting Chair until the AGM.
The Events committee is no longer being operated as a separate committee. This has been re-absorbed into the club committee.
I’d like to thank everyone who attended and all the members who tended proxy votes too.
On a side note; there was a sincere acknowledgement of all the tireless effort and hard work Dean has put in to HBS and there are plans to acknowledge this.
Looking to the future - the committee will regroup and report back to you soon.
