The new semester has started and our CEC events will kick off very soon. This coming Monday, we will collaborate with WeiMing-Zijing to organize a lecture, focusing on Internet Start-Ups and mainly talking about the difference between China and U.S. Below are the details of this event. 互联网，大数据，TMT已成为当今创业的关键词。中国和美国的互联网创业有什么不同，如何有效整合国内国外资源，如何利用优势的人际关系网络，前端的技术，在网络时代背景下设计成功的商业模式？发挥个人最大的潜力和价值？我们邀请到中国和美国的互联网创业的专家和听众进行对话。

嘉宾：

Joyce Moy：美国亚裔研究院的执行主任，美国历史上首位亚裔中小商务中心主任。

刘芳：中国互联网协会大学生网络商务创新应用大赛组委会执行主任，网络商务人才能力发展项目组副主任，中华英才网创始人之一。

嘉宾介绍：

Joyce Moy is the Executive Director of the Asian American/Asian Research Institute (AAARI), of the City University of New York (CUNY).  AAARI engages in research and education on Asian-American and international Asian community issues with the goal of building bridges across cultures, for educators, business and communities. Ms. Moy’s field of expertise is economic development and entrepreneurship, with an emphasis on small and medium enterprises (SMEs). She is also a professor at CUNY and has taught entrepreneurship, management and business law. She has developed curriculum in financial education which has been adopted by the Cities for Financial Empowerment as a national model for training counselors working with the poor, working poor and others seeking to get out of debt, improve their financial conditions and work toward building assets. She was the first Asian American director of a U.S. Small Business Administration funded New York State Small Business Development Center (SBDC). In that position, she worked closely with minority, women-owned, immigrant and other small businesses to grow and be sustainable. She worked to obtain these businesses over $20 million in funding and grants.

刘芳女士是中国最早投身于网络商务的先锋，见证了中国互联网产业及其商务模式发展和变革的过程，对于互联网产业发展对个人职业生涯的影响具有深刻的感受和思考。刘芳女士所创办的新赢家网自2007年开始，每年组织一届全国大学生网络商务创新应用大赛，至今已成功组织了五届大赛。每届大赛吸引了来自全国超过2000多所高校15万余大学生注册报名参与，组建团队4000支左右。是目前在中国覆盖范围最为广泛、并具有良好口碑和社会影响力的大赛。
