Great new here: Uber has soft-launched in Shanghai couple of months ago and they are now looking for talents to join their China team! Please help forward the info to friends that are interested. 

 

Opportunities at Uber in China (Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen)

General Manager CEO of the city, responsible for growth, P&L, running the team, regulatory, media and connection back to HQ. Execution machine, experienced leader, highly analytical, highly creative, willing and able to be hands-on

Community Manager - would be called a head of marketing at most startups - in charge of the demand side of Uber's business; for signing up users, and for keeping them engaged and loving our service. It involves local marketing as well as customer support, PR and social media. Here, we need someone who really knows the city inside and out; what makes it tick, as well as different types of people in it. A great networker, very creative, a lot of fun; someone who enjoys being out at events, and can get others excited about Uber, no matter who, where or when.

Operations Manager - owns the entire supply side of Uber's business; pitching transportation partners on working with Uber, managing capacity, and ensuring the quality of supply. A very analytical type, who also has really strong people skills, to manage relationships with our partners. We have a lot of ex-bankers and ex-consultants in this role; the type who were restless in an advisory role, and wanting to transition into an ops role at a startup. The job allows them to learn to run an online business, in a very data-driven way, and then gives them real ownership over running that business.
