For those using this as a Desktop development machine, I ran into an issue that is probably a "corner" for a small # of us. With assistance from Claude, I'm suggesting not to use Bitdefender Antivirus as it breaks the mDNS multicast process used to copy Airdrop files (a handy feature for pictures and other stuff) from/to a MAC to/from other Apple devices :(
And Claude helpfully commented: My honest recommendation: Keep Bitdefender fully uninstalled, rely on macOS built-in security, and install the free version of Malwarebytes for occasional manual scans. For a home M1 Mac that's more than sufficient. Now I can get back to roboting. Ross
