The previous thread has gone to new places so forgive me for starting a new one. I have read most of the others.
I am curious what your rule-of-thumb (or firm rule) is about copying and modifying a launch file from another package. From a ROS2 package such as slam_toolbox. Or a package of your own.
It is often the most convenient thing to do, But the downside is that you lose touch with the upstream. Also sometimes you have no choice because the particular thing you want to customize is not in the launch file’s “interface” (arguments, yaml files, what not.)
