ROS 2 LinoRobot2 Gazebo and Arctos Robotic Arm - Today Sept. 10th 1:30 pm Central Time

I check-in & re-synced my fork with the LinoRobot2 Description & Navigation packages upgrades for Gazebo Fortress.


Status is 2WD Nav2 mapping et navigation are working. During navigation, the local map square around the robot displays without content in Rviz2.

We are working on testing the updates against the pending release of the Gazebo LTS (Harmonic) version with October 2023 release.

As well I am looking at converting the Arctos Robotic Arm from ROS 2 Foxy/Gazebo Classic to ROS 2 Humble/Iron  Gazebo Fortress/Harmonic>

Hey Chaz,
I just tried running your changes and saw the issue with the local cost map not appearing in RViz2.  When I echoed /local_costmap/costmap, I noticed the timestamps were not relative to sim time, and then realized I forgot to include 'sim:=True' on the nav launch command.  After fixing that, the local cost map (worked) and displayed okay.

Hopefully that explains what you also saw.

I'm interested in the Arctos arm. Has anybody built it yet ?
