Hi Karen, It would be a good idea for the students to post their passions and experiences in robotics field. A short list from each student posted on this  thread would help. I am personally looking for an intern that understands the basics of mechanical engineering and can CAD using Fusion 360.

Thank you.
My son is currently a sophomore in high school. We live in Mountain View.
  • He has become proficient in several programming languages (Python and Java) through robotics, research, and rigorous academic courses. Currently He is taking AP Calculus and Advanced Data Structures, Embedded Systems & Networking, and robotics courses at school. Last year he took AP Computer Science. His current GPA is 3.9 (Weighted GPA 4.55).
  • He has extensive experience in robotics (FLL, Botball, Vex robotics) and a passion for tinkering. He is proficient in woodworking, laser cutting, electronics, 3D printing, and assembly design. Additionally, he has experience with Arduino, Eclipse, CAD using Fusion, LaTeX, and MATLAB. He hold certifications in OSHA-10, CAD using Onshape, and NC3 Introduction to Mechatronics.
  • Since October 2025, he has been working as a part-time intern at a legal consulting company, where he is developing AWS-native AI agents to automate work processes for attorneys.
  • Currently he is working on physics informed machine learning research for estimating remaining useful life in turbofan jet enginesIn 2025, he completed an Enviromental AI research project where he developed a machine learning algorithm to detect levees at risk by leveraging object detection and semantic segmentation. He developed several U-Net models to segment images of sand boils around levees to enable intervention before damage occurs. He received the Science & Engineering Fair Honorable award at Synopsys Science Fair this year.
Hope this helps. I can share his resume as well to direct email.
Let me know if any questions.
Thank you
