After serving as Treasurer and Secretary of the club for 5 years, this is my last year. I love the club but my energy is now focused on other things.
It's your turn . . .
We need someone with vision and energy to take on this important role.
Main duties include:
- managing the payments. It's mostly the Zoom monthly payment (which is on autopay) plus occasional expenses, perhaps 4 or 5 a year
- be the authorized signature on the club bank account
- recording the vote at the annual meeting and saving a record of it (records are needed to open bank accounts or whatever).
- recording memberships, collecting payments, and printing badges. I've fallen behind on badges and am in the process of restarting them.
- be a member of the executive team and help steer the club
But so much more can be done!
- payments are currently on PayPal - this could be expanded to Venmo, Zelle, or a club management platform
- look into ways of expanding the membership of the club, collaborating with similar clubs, and attending more events
- there must be a lot more that can be done! I'm sure the people on this mailing list have a lot of great ideas - and one of you can nominate yourself to make things happen.
