Alright, everyone! We're in the middle of another Challenge Month, the June 24 meeting will be ALL Show-and-Tell, so you have a demo to give.

Get your robot off the shelf, dust it off, charge it up, finish it, fix it, or improve it. If you're not currently building, start something! We are a builder's club. Our stock-in-trade is functioning robots, but works-in-progress are good for partial credit. Show us what YOU are working on! We'll do this again in September (Phase III), so you'll have another opportunity to show your progress.

Don't be a spectator... participate! The more homebrewed robots you bring, the less you have to listen to me. :-]]]

My son has been working on a wheeled robot and would love to participate in the upcoming Challenge Month. Since he did not participate in Phase I, could you please confirm if he is still eligible to join Phase II on June 24? Additionally, could you let us know if advance registration or RSVP is required for this event, or if we can simply walk in?

Sure no problem! We're hard to impress but easily amused. Feel free to tell us about your robot on this Mailing List and just show up on the 24th.

Tomorrow evening 6/17 (the penultimate Wednesday) we'll have a Builders' SIG (Special Interest Group) on Zoom. Watch this List for the link (or go to the homepage). This might be a good opportunity to practice your demo.

I'd love to join and practice my demo.

My project is called Proxy, a JetBot-style but custom designed AI robot built around a Jetson Orin Nano. Proxy uses a camera, microphone, computer vision, and voice interaction. Proxy listens to the request, searches the room using AI object detection, and then moves toward the object when it finds it. The project is focused on creating a low-cost AI visual search assistant and exploring how robotics and AI can improve accessibility. I'm looking forward to sharing the project and getting feedback from the group on the 24th. I'm still working on the mentioned features
