Has anybody found a source for drive belts for the YDLIDAR X2 LIDAR?

The company does not offer them

When I had a broken belt in 2018 both slamtech and dfrobot refused to offer replacement parts. I measured the belt dimensions and bought a bag of similar size belts from Amazon or McMaster Carr and vowed to never by parts from either company again. All my lidars are direct driven now

AliExpress seems to have you covered(natch!):
https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256804061476856.html

If that doesn't work, this seems like a problem just asking for a 3D-printed-in-TPU kind of solution.
(and if your printer can't do flexibles, ping me and I'll get you. )

So true!  Fortunately my replacement Youyeetoo FHL LD19 LIDAR arrived last week and has installed OK (with a little help from VSCode and Copilot Claude-Sonnet 4.5) and works fine.  Plus it's smaller with a smaller serial-USB module.

But it would be nice to keep the YDLIDAR X2 from becoming junk.

SOme timne ago, I experimented with 3D-printed drive belts.     I did it as a joke and explicated near instant failure.    i was wrong, they work.  Not as well as one made by Gates, but well enough that I could have any size belt I wanted very quickly and for well under $1.

I printed it as a circle on the build plate.      No, I’m nmot suggesting this as a long-term fix but maybe you don’t kknow what size belt to buy you can try a few sizes or for an emergency fix.    This is right up there with using a US $1 bill to fix a bicycle tire, it is suposed to be an expedient fix but in fact it lasts for weeks.
