Hi,

I have gotten my turtlebot to operation using ROS 'Turtlebot Bringup'
and implementing the roslaunch for the teleop keyboard. However, the
issue I have is that when the 'Turtlebot Control' screen comes up I
can only send one command with an arrow key, which it will respond to,
but any further key commands will not work. I find if I exit out of
teleop and restart it again I can issue another arrow command but no
other commands will work. So simply said I get one arrow command per
teleoperation start up. Has any one else had this problem?

Thanks,
Gene Smith

It works fine for me (once I get it booted (which is hit-or-miss))…

Hello Gene,
In my experience with the standard Turtlebot and Neato "teleop" it uses the following keys to drive:

uio
jkl
m,.

Where "i" is forward, "k" is stop and "," is reverse. Are you actually using the "arrow keys"? Due to the delay it is quite clunky. I punch "i" two or three times and put a little turn ("o" or "u") at the end so I know it has completed the last batch of commands. Latency is a real issue. :-/
