About two years ago, Daniel provided a new
PC for Brenda. It had a number of pre-installed
programs. One was Office 2010.

Now - unexpectedly - it's popping up a warning that:

This copy of MS Office is not activated. You have
28 days left to activate.

There's a button which allows: Change/update product code.

Huh ????

Down the bottom (just above the Help key) its says:

Error code: 0xC004F074

But I presume it was activated, way back when.

Anyone got any clues as Brenda doesn't have, (or
can't find) whatever might be needed to fix this.

Lots of references to this on the web. Seems that
a MAK key is needed. But lots of people seem to
have (and have had) the same problem and many
have found the problem to be tortuously repetitive
and a permanent solution to be very elusive.

Looking for a place to host your web site idea?

Look no further than this company.
I use them for my web sites.

How did I get an Internet address/domain name?
I bought it from this company for $NZ27 for 3 years.

Cheap? You betcha! You can do it, too. Click on
either of the links to check for yourself.

I'd probably resort to a crack in this case (assuming your copy is legit but you don't want to ring Microsoft for whatever reason). Do you even have the original license available? Sounds dodgy if you dont
