Null cell value in hbase

Hi All,

When I loaded the data from oracle table to hbase using sqoop, it skipped the null cell values. I like that.

But when I try to use the "Put" with null in hbase shell, it does not skip the null value but it does insert the null.

Any thoughts on stopping that please?
